Gemütlichkeit

In most German/English dictionaries, they define Gemütlichkeit as coziness, but that’s not really it.  Gemütlichkeit is a feeling of comfort and ease; it’s a place where you don’t have to wear a public face and where you can sit, talk, away the hours. It's being out with good friends by a warm fire on a cold night.

Feel as if you stepped back into the "Old World" of Europe.  Everywhere you look, you will find intriguing artwork, antiques & steins adorning every room and hallway.  A music lover will be pleased with the musical selections chosen at Vienna.  Feel alive while your fork dances to a Strauss Waltz, your foot taps to some upbeat German & Austrian Polka's or may your spirit be lifted by Mozart! We're a little different than other restaurants and we like it that way.  America's German and Austrian Restaurants are a dying Breed, so why not give someone an unforgettable and relaxing evening they'll want to tell everyone about!

The Krach family takes pride in offering cordial hospitality to guests wishing to find a home away from home at our Bed & Breakfast style petite hotel. The five comfortable & affectionately appointed 2-room guest suites are spacious, clean, and bright  All rooms offer private baths and a full gourmet breakfast.  You may choose to be served in our restaurant dining room, or if you prefer, in your

very own bedroom!

Particularly, we pride attention to your personal

needs as our trademark.

Your Hosts,

Lisa & Jonathan Krach

Vienna is celebrating its 5th Year !

We opened our doors on March 3, 2003.

Allot has changed since then.

Take a look at Summer of 2001 Before Vienna was purchased.  Renovations took this home from an 8-unit apartment house and converting it back to a single -family that you see today.

Our porch

Our front porch - where visitors are aways welcome.

If you're an early riser you can catch some rays of eastern morning sun on the porch as the town wakes up

with a great cup of our Viennese roast coffee.

The original dwelling of 14 South Street was built in 1812, then later, our Italianate Revival home which you see today.  The Mansion of 26 (8 bathrooms) rooms sits atop upper Main Street and is on the National Historic Register.  Vienna Inn has a 3-story mansard roof with meandering hallways and ceilings high enough to touch the heavens! While dining in our restaurant - don't forget to look up and see the gorgeous meticulously restored freizes on the ceilings, each of the 2 rooms has a different style.

Outside, a visitor will find a gigantic 200 year old Copper Beech tree which towers above our enchanting outside patio equipped with an outside beehive fireplace. A perfect spot to have a late night libation with a friend or puff on a Cigar before retiring to bed if you're a morning person...how about breakfast in the morning sun?  An equally ancient Dwarf Japanese Maple aside our spacious front porch - great for people watching, sipping your Viennese coffee, or perhaps enjoying one of our authentic mouth- watering Viennese desserts!
